The £16m redevelopment that is Harvey Hadden Sports Village was the largest investment of Nottingham City Council’s Leisure transformation programme. We were approached by Nottingham City Council to provide a solar carport for their showcase sports village. The challenge was to work within the building’s parking restraints and provide an aesthetically pleasing solution whilst creating renewable energy.

The solution

The project design was for 40 parking bays. We worked closely with Nottingham City Council on a design that worked for their car park, whilst still delivering the benefit of generating electricity on site all year, and reducing their CO2 emissions. The power output was designed to be used to offset energy consumption within the sports village and provide security of supply.

We received a first class professional service from start to finish and got what we wanted on time and on budget. The end result is that Nottingham have a fantastic solution, delivered by people who know their industry and product.
